Slipknots Guest Book Entries from 7/1/2000 through 9/30/2000:

well... good show guys... way stressful w/ the soundboard patch tho... not really sure why, either... granted kenny has to deal w/ the house sound an' all 1st... but why couldn't we just get a straight signal? does that board not have functioning tape-outs? had to eventually pull out of what was labeled monitor A which of course was a mono signal... so i split that to fake a stereo image... but then whenever kenny would isolate a channel to monitor anything we'd lose the mix... super annoyin'... especially considerin' the mix sounded good from the little i taped... eventually gave up an' patched outta the marantz yet again... an' have to say i'm sick of tammany aud tapes... way too much drunken chit-chat... hey perry really strong samson... an' a jack straw encore! thanks mark! haven't caught one of them since slip out last year... i think... buzzy, see ya sunday... i hope...

King Richard's Faire is a recreation of a 16th century English marketplace at festival time. It's a lot of fun and lots to do. Lots of yummy food and drink, too. A lot of people that go, dress in medieval costume. A GREAT place for Kathleen to sell her wreaths, by the way!! I am feeling a bit better, Tara.

The pedal steel guitar added a nice twang, too - Thanks Buddy! So nice to see so many friends with so many smiles on their faces. My hat's off to the security, too...I slept like a baby knowing that my daughter and I were safe 'just in case'; the kid's interactive play space was fun...my girl wanted to wear the crown she made to school! :c) Thank you guys once again for a glorious weekend...Great music and a great time.

Hey now! Sorry I've been lazy, but my now ex-girlfriend broke up with me on Saturday and today I pretty much lost my job of the past four years! No, I'm not asking for people to feel sorry for me, but just to send good positive vibes out my way! I'll be at Slip Out this weekend! Can't wait! Hope it doesn't rain! Hey Bruce, could you play a Terrapin or an Uncle John's this weekend? I really could use one or the other or both! I'm keeping my head up! PEACE!

SLIPKNOT walked away with three gongs at tonight's (August 29) KERRANG! AWARDS - and celebrated by setting fire to their table. The band, who won Best International Live Act, Single Of The Year with their track 'Wait And Bleed' and Best Band In The World, also smashed up chairs and glasses then wrecked the stage after collecting their trophies at the London Hammersmith Palais.

Chet's Diner
Thursday, August 24, 2000 at 10:57:53
A Little local new about a old Slipknot haunt...an old personally fav of mine, Chets Diner !!!! and wild Bill too. Northboro diner, manager will be featured in movie Thursday, August 24, 2000 By Sandy Quadros Bowles Telegram & Gazette Staff NORTHBORO-- Bill Pantazis, owner of Chet's Diner in Northboro, has a role in an upcoming film, “American Hog” -- playing Bill, the manager of a diner. The character may not be much of a stretch, but working on the film changed the way Mr. Pantazis looks at movies. “You don't realize how many takes a one-minute” scene can require, he said. Boston-based Hog Productions was at Chet's Diner at 191 Main St. Tuesday to film diner scenes for the movie. Production coordinator Suzanne Ontso is from Northboro and chose to film at Chet's, where she sometimes eats, because of its classic diner look. “Chet's is a great looking place,” said line producer Nick Vanderpool. Exteriors of the diner were filmed last week. Mr. Pantazis was originally asked to be an extra on the film. Then Ms. Ontso asked if he would play a small role, with a couple of lines. Mr. Pantazis said he was nervous, but agreed. By the time the filming took place, the role was “decent-sized.” The scene filmed Tuesday required him to fire a waitress who is always late. The waitress in turn gives him a colorful response. That three-minute scene took about 12 hours to film, he said. Sometimes an actor would forget his or her lines. Other times the timing would be off. Then there was the time required to film the same scene from different perspectives -- his reaction, for example, and then her reaction. “It's a lot of work,” he said. “It's something different. I enjoyed it.” Chet's was not the only Northboro location selected for the movie. A portion of the interior of WCD Garage Inc., 44 Main St., was used as a bail bondsman's office. Outside the garage, a special-effects person set several barrels on fire. These small fires will be doctored in the post-production process to look like a large blaze on screen. The completed scene may depict the barrels blowing up and starting a blaze in the garage for a scene in which a biker gang sets fire to a garage. The exterior of Sawyer's candlepin bowling at 5 Blake St. was used as the outside of a veterinary clinic. Scenes were also filmed at the Clinton police station and at locations in Framingham. “We've tried to use, as much as possible, real locations,” Mr. Vanderpool said. The former Foggy's restaurant in Westboro is slated to be a “biker bar” in the movie. Area motorcyclists -- and their bikes -- may be extras in the scene. “It's low-budget,” Mr. Vanderpool said. “Independent decisions are made on the spot.” Filming is expected to be finished by mid-September, Mr. Vanderpool said. Post-production work, sound mixing and completing the finished product will follow. The film will be distributed to film festivals, with a goal of hitting theaters within 12 months to 18 months, he said. The plot of “American Hog” concerns the bad blood between a police officer and a biker recently released from prison. Knowing how to market the movie could be the key to how well it does, Mr. Vanderpool said. This may not be the type of movie that could do well during a classic big-movie opening time, such as Thanksgiving weekend, he said, but may benefit from a more low-key release. “It's hard to predict how well it will do,” he said. Movies can make money in a variety of ways, he said. “Once a movie's out there, it's out there forever.” In addition to domestic and foreign releases, movies can make money by being shown on premium stations, on pay-per-view, on video or on network stations. “Even if it's not big in the theater, it can make money in the long run,” he said. The classic story of a small movie that made it big is “The Blair Witch Project,” a low-budget documentary spoof that became a huge commercial success last year. The film went on to inspire a sequel, a prequel and a TV series. That scenario is “not likely to be repeated,” he said. Whatever happens to “American Hog,” its filming has been grueling. Cast and crew have been working 14-hour and 15-hour days, six days a week. They also have learned to be resourceful. For the scenes at Chet's, makeup was applied in the diner's pub area. On other locations, makeup has been applied to people in chairs in the parking lot. “We really try to work with the space we have,” he said. Mr. Pantazis, whose looks are compared to Clint Eastwood's by crew members, said he would do another movie role if he had a chance. “It's exciting,” he said. © 2000 Worcester Telegram & Gazette

Those of you who are coming to Harper's Ferry for tonight's show should try to get there early to hear our good friend Bill McQuaid, who will do a solo acoustic set to open from 9:15pm - 10:00pm. Bill is a fingerstyle guitar player who does a lot of traditional songs that many of you will recognize if you listen to Jorma Kaukonen, Jerry Garcia (acoustic), and Eric Clapton (acoustic). Slipknot will follow with 2 long sets from 10:15pm - 11:45pm and 12:15am - 1:45am.

Hey, Im a fan of the Iowan Slipknot, but I have respect for this slipknot. They aren't really that popular yet, and I will always have the utmost respect for any band in their struggling days. I haven't heard their music yet, but this site is very interesting- even though they are probably nothing like the other slipknot, I am willing to listen anyways. Oh, and I noticed that all the slipknot "fans" that put up post about this band sucking were the "fans" who didnt like slipknot untill they were popular. All these people who like "wait and bleed" are just for it cuz its on the radio right now. How about you go listen to MKFR, or go see Slipknot live, and be a real fan, not a pansy bunch of MTV fans. You people @%#@%@^ suck. Long live Slipknot, both of 'em!

I have a friend was in cleveland for Allman Brother He said Franklins Tower was great, and Oteil sang it. Actually, he saw between 50 and 100 shows and said Clevelands show was in his top ten..... Friday at Tweeter could be the call...

Oh my God..I am so embarrassed by all these metal Slipknot fans coming in here..I mean are people really that dumb and dont realize they are at the wrong site?? I apologize for all the shit they that have said to you guys. I personally listen to heavier music, but i still have respect for all bands that are giving everything they have to their music.

Hi...I never post...but I just think it's funny that all the "Metal" Slipknot fans are accidentally coming here and then getting pissed because you guys took "their bands" name...hehehehehe....silly kids....if they only knew. Haven't you guys been Slipknot for like ...I dunno.... almost ten years or something...hehehehe.....keep up the good vibes.
