Attended New York City public schools- graduate of South Shore High School -1976.

Saw Beatles on Ed Sullivan show and played the tennis racquet and baseball bat to their records non-stop until his mom took him to local music studio for guitar lessons at age 7.

 

Formed first rock band with Mitch and Steve Epstein (drums and bass) at age 10.

This band stayed together and gigged around Brooklyn (their parents drove them to gigs) all through school up until graduation from H.S. in 1976

Played with “The GTs” from 1990 to 2000.

 

10/16/99- Audience member, The Knot- Sportsmen’s Club, Auburn Ma.

 

11/13/99- Sat in with The Knot- Harpers Ferry, Alston Ma.

 

Jan 15th, 2000- First full show with “The Knot”- Tammany Club, Worcester Ma.

 

Influences include Keith Richards, Pete Townshend, Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, David Bromberg, Jorma Kaukonen, Bob Dylan, Robbie Robertson, Aaron Von Cello, B.B. King, all of the Beatles.

 

Perry plays a 1993 Gibson Les Paul Studio Lite, a 1985 D’Agostino solid body, a 1999 Fender Stratocaster- and a 1973 Guild D40.  His main amp is a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe.
